How to Read Battle Cats Enemy Stats

Start with an enemy's base HP, attack, range and timing. Then check the stage's HP and ATK magnification before judging the encounter. The numbers below show how that works on a real enemy record.

Example data: Japan game data v15.6 · English release available. The worked percentages below are illustrative; use the multiplier shown for your stage when planning a real fight.

1. Read the base stats

Open an enemy record and check these values first:

HPHow much damage the enemy can take at 100% HP magnification.
Attack powerDamage recorded for each hit. Multi-hit enemies show separate values.
DPSAverage damage per second from the recorded attack cycle, assuming every hit connects. It is not damage from a single hit.
RangeThe enemy's recorded reach. Also inspect Long Distance and attack type where present.
Foreswing and attack frequencyForeswing is the delay before a hit; attack frequency describes the recorded cycle between attacks.
Traits, abilities and immunitiesThese can matter more than a simple HP or DPS comparison. Read them on the same enemy page.

The calculation method explains how this site converts frames to seconds and computes DPS from the versioned source data.

2. Work through Teacher Bun Bun

The Teacher Bun Bun record currently lists 99,999 base HP, 2,250 total attack, 2,177 base DPS and 200 range. Suppose an encounter used 200% HP and 150% ATK magnification. The calculator would show:

StatAt 100%Illustrative encounter
HP99,999199,998
Total attack2,2503,375
DPS2,1773,266
Range200200

HP and attack use separate percentages. Range and attack timing stay at their recorded values in this calculation. Each scaled hit is rounded before DPS is recalculated, so multiplying the displayed base DPS can differ by a small rounding amount.

3. Use the value for your stage

On the enemy page, open Appears in stages. Find the stage, then select Use in calculator beside its recorded HP and ATK percentages. The calculator fills in both values and shows the resulting HP, attack and DPS. You can also enter percentages yourself for a stage not shown in the first 50 appearances.

A listed appearance is a data match, not a complete stage guide. The table does not show every spawn condition or the full enemy lineup. Crown multipliers and other encounter effects are not included in this calculator.

A quick check before you play

  1. Confirm the enemy name and the game release shown on its page.
  2. Read traits, abilities, range and attack timing alongside HP and DPS.
  3. Apply the HP and ATK percentages for the stage you are entering.
  4. Use the result as a numeric reference, then account for the rest of the encounter in game.

Start with the enemy list if you know a trait but not the enemy name. See Data Sources, Calculations & Corrections for source coverage and data limitations.
